The catalyst forest

Zuhalen materialized directly in front of Valko, hovering on enormous wings of flame and shadow. His head was held high and remnants of his fire still encircled Valko.

"Hey little pony, you don't belong on this half of the woods..." At feeling the demon horse on the angels side of the land, she was able to materialize in a ghostly form, looking down on the two and glowing. She reached out for Valko and her other arm began to glow with warm fire, directing at the horse.
For this she spoke in a piercing and crisp sound.
"We only kill those who threaten us..."

The stallion snorted and melted into liquid fire, streaming away from the angel, aware of her abilities, and re-materialized into the black stallion farther away, his broad wings carrying him in a more distant arc in the sky.
Then go, Valko, he echoed faintly. But you will regret your choice soon enough. He continued to watch the angel, agitated and bitter.

Why are you so against this?! Valko howled. I need to find out where I belong!

You will, Zuhalen said sadly, turning and soaring away.

Valkorein then turned to face the angel and took her paw.

"Valko..." She breathed out with a smile, wind flustering around her as she transported him into the 'city' of angels.
A bright, healthy green part of the forest, and in the distance to his newfound unconcsiousness, pure, deep, soothing voices all spoke to one another.
"I'm sure the lost one will return soon...now that we have a part of her here." said a rather cheerful voice.
"She's not 'the lost one' Attikan, she's Nyyrikkia" The familiar voice corrected.
"Fine, sorry."

another low grumble swept around the new demon, some of them cursing him and wishing him away, others defending him.

Valko shivered as the voice rang out around him.
"What-what do you mean lost one? Who's Nyyrikkia?"

The stallion soared low over the forest back toward the demons' side, his dark wings carrying him straight and swift.

A shape detachted itself from the trees and flew toward him.
"What news?" The demon eagle asked.

"Valkorien has gone back to the angels," Zuhalen said sailing down to land on the brink of a rocky bluff. "Aleetha was with him."

The eagle soared down beside him. "Hmmm. What to do..." The eagle mused.

Aleetha turned around and looked at Valko lying there in the rehabilitation chamber and walked over to him gracefully, almost gliding.
"Valko" She reached out a paw and touched his forehead gently "remember Valko... remember back to who created you...." She sighed and a light blue light enveloped his head, rinding around his cranuim like a crown. all the other angels stood in silence, thinking to one another.

Valko yelped and tried to twist away but before he could, images of a beatiful dragoness standing before him showed.
"Valko..." She whispered looking upon him like a mother would.
He looked up at her with his newly born eyes and gazed in wonder. Then the memory faded.
"Who-Who?" He stammered.

"She is out there, waiting for you Valkorian..." Aleetha said with a smile. "The day before she disappeared... she asked us all to find you and for you to be in my care till we find her. I will not lie, the journey will most likely be dangerous for us all with your prior Kin after us..." She sighed and her wings sprouted, flapping and flexing and she placed a paw on Valko's cheek. "But we all want our light in the shadows back..."

"Who am I? What am I?" Valkorein asked, her curiousity burning brighter then ever before.

Zuhalen's wings dissolved into the wind as rising smoke and ashes as he stood on the bluff's edge beside the eagle, deep in thought.
"I was too late and I've failed. Now Nyy will be returning very soon. Whatever is to be done, we don't have much time."

The eagle brushed him with a wing. "You tried. We shall set off and attend to our business." It then lept off the bluff and flew over the trees.

Zuhalen stood a few moments longer staring out over the dark forest. Then sighing, he turned and summoned his wings again, and soared off the bluff in the direction the eagle had gone.

The eagle soared down into a torchlit clearing. There were many demons hurrying about and rushed around faster as the eagle shouted the news and walked with Zuhulan toward a large tent, a large pot as big as the tent beside it.

Walking briskly, the stallion headed for the tent and shifted to anthro before walking inside.

A slim black panther hunched over an enormous, thick silver-leafed book. Her tail tinkled slightly with its chain of rubies as it switched irritatedly back and forth over her shawl-covered shoulders. She looked up as the pair entered the tent, her eyes dark with tired circles.
"Can I help you?" she rasped softly.

The eagle bowed low. "We have a problem. Valko has gone to the angels." At his words a figure moved in the darkest corner.

Vaughn's eyes glowed brighter crimson at the eagle's words and she gave a slight start.
"Are you sure about this?"
"Yes," Zuhalen replied. "Valko told me this himself. Aleetha led him away."
Vaughn closed her eyes miserably and let out a rasping sigh.
"Then Nyyrikkia will return. We cannot allow this to happen."

"Indeed not." Said a soft voice from the corner.

"Athanasius," Vaughn said softly. "What advice have you to give on this predicament?"
