ok i decided tht we need a bit of poetry, now i warn you i'm no good a happy poems

and i'm no good at uber depressing poems! Haha

Fly away little blue bird
think it fast and try
escape the nest little blue bird
your mother weeps a tear and cries.

She wants to see you, little blue bird
Flying in the clouds
Sing your song little blue bird
Sing it loud and proud

Be yourself little blue bird
be free and live freely
for you are me little blue bird
only distant and in the tree leaves

Fly away little blue bird, fly.

Dang, the one time I don't have my poetry notebooks with me... I'll post some stuff when I have my books back. And, like Skye, I usually suck at happy poems...

I prefer to look on the downside of things, that way, when (if) things go right, I feel really good...

I envy the people who can write poems

In all honesty I can't write either.

I was helping out on my uncle's family's ranch today, and I was stuck on a tractor by myself for 4 hours, and I got lonely. When I get lonely, I get depressed,and random poetry starts to write itself in my head. So... yeah.



Cold

When I grip the dreams I could have had
My blood runs cold,
And my numb fingertips grasp at hope
But can't feel it, can't hold on to it.
My heart begins to freeze
And my emotions hide themselves in the ice,
And when I cry,
The tears freeze to my frostbitten face
Forming a cold, hard mask,
A mask that forces me to smile,
Even when I don't want to.

Got stuck on the tractor again, and wrote this. It's, perhaps, the most metaphorical thing I've ever written. Thus, I don't know how good it really is...

i saw across the water
the birth of a brand new martyr
a child born to die in blaze
after ending the rule of the sinful craze
they will have trod through years of pain
just to show us the fruited plain
despite our efforts their life will end
only to let us new begin

This is more of a song than a poem, but it's the theme song I made up for the novel I'm writing.
The book is about a girl whos boyfriend has been in a coma for several months and no one knows if he will ever wake up. She learns how to communicate with him through the subconscious mind by sharing his dreams (a thing her own subconscious mind guides her into doing through a dream of her own). But along the way she also learns how to unlock the secret behind deja-vu, and finds the glitch in time that allows it, therefore being able to prevent the motorcycle accident that caused his coma.

So here's the song...

I made a poem, yes it's about love, but hey, i just wanted to post it to see what you all think of the poetic style XD

Out along the sand on a vast and broken shore, a light dimly lit the horizon.
I sat there alone wondering... pondering... where did the lights come from?
A magnificent golden orb hanging just above the ocean...
It mezmerises me...
I sat there alone with a notepad and pencil... drawing what i could see
The colours appearing on paper as they did in the sky.
Alone on the beach, i sat.
I stared.
The ocean's surface glitters like diamonds and i look to my left at a rock laiden mountain.
On top is a light house... it spins... It's light bright... piercing..
I draw it...
I look at my paper, the lines now objects... as lively as they are to reality.
A person.
A person walking along the shore.
A man.
I touch the figure with a cold and worn finger...
L ively and beautiful he seamt, walking along the beach. Appearing on paper...
O h how i wish he were real...
V ines have clustered my imagination and clouded this lone figure...Where was he from..
E ver lonely on this beach, I sat. I waited. I glanced at the disappearing light....I glanced...
Y onder and above, the stars start shining and i wonder... i ponder... is there anyone for me?
O ver my gaze and in front of me... The man drew nearer... and as he walked on water...
U nfulfilled by an imagination i lie back now... on the sand...
M agnificent feelings of warmth and care embedded into my chest...
A n arm wrapped around my neck, and against my skin caressed...
R elieving me of loneliness and an aching under-breast...
K issing lips to mine, so gently... as i sleep and rest...
U nder a sedation of love, I find myself at peace at last.
S o long have I yearned for the love you bring me, For in dreams alone am i lonely...In life I can see you love me... I love am i... at last...
