The Underbridge coffee shop

".....Well, I'm probably going to regret this...But I'll let you choose..."

Niala cowered under the table and looked over at Krory and Jade's deceased bodies..."Mel... i think i'm going to be sick..." She pushed her coffee away and then looked outside "i hope Nyy is okay.." Niala retreated from her table and then walked over to Krory, picking him up and cradling him. "if only coffee could cure!!"

The dragon grinned, revealing her sharp pointed fangs but even though she hadn't bitten anything dark red blood dripped off them and onto the shadow. She leaned down and whispered its fate into its ear and then with a feral snarl she grabbed onto it, turned around and threw it into the portal. The portal vanished after it was thrown in and Nyy walked back to the shop, all the spirits and the shadows except for her shadow monsters dissipating.
"Rikkia!" Mel shouted as the dragon walked into the warm room and latched onto her leg.
The dragon shuddered and her eyes rolled back into her head and she fell to the ground. Her shadow winged wolf Valkorien leapt onto Nyy's body as Melanie touched her and snarled at the girl to back off. He laid upon the dragon and watched Melanie walk over to the bodies of Jade and Krory.
"She'll be alright Val?" Melanie asked the shadow wolf.
He flicked his tail. "She will be, she just over exhausted herself that's all. What about Krory and Jade?"
Melanie touched her paw to Jade. "She's most definitely dead." She then walked over to Krory and touched her paw to him gently. "He's alive!" She cried. "It must be the life force that Nyy gave him earlier that's keeping him alive. He's bound to her, so while she's alive; he's alive." She then sat at the table. "Now all we have to do is wait..."

Krory twitched slightly while his wound gently bled.

Melanie jumped to her feet. "Krory!"

He sat up and looked around. "Wha-?"

Melanie rushed over to him. "Krory! Are you alright? How do you feel?"

"Really, really, sore..."

"You need to lie down and rest."

"Nyy. Where's Nyy?"

Melanie hesitated.

"Where is she? Please, tell me."

"You need to rest Krory." Was all Melanie said. "You can see her after."

"Why not now? Meleanie, what the f*** happened!?" Krory yelled.

Melanie flinched but moved to the side, showing Nyy on the floor with the wolf on top of her.

Krory stared at his love. Tears whelling in his eyes.

"She's alright Krory." Melanie said quickly, putting a paw on his shoulder. "Come on, you need to rest."

Krory didn't say anything. He only hugged Melanie and didn't want to let go. He sobbed gently.

Melanie sat down, holding the Manticore gently and stroked his back.

"Is Jade...?"

"Jade's gone Krory but when Nyy awakes she'll bring Jade back."

Krory layed his head against her.

Melanie put her paw on the back of his head and stroked his fur gently. "Can I get you anything?"

"Not unless you wouldn't mind shifting into a furry bed." He said yawning.

Melanie smiled slightly and moved over to a corner and shifted into a bed. "You owe me." She said.
