The winged wolf raced through the trees, her paws thudding heavily on the ground as she chased after the humans searching for her. She wanted them out. Disgusting creatures they were, never to be trusted, liars, betrayers, and murderers. The startled cries of night animals echoed in the air as she thundered past and the wolf quickened her pace as she heard the sound of footsteps and voices ahead of her. She launched out of the trees and out onto the top of a cliff and dashed after the humans walking along it. Only seconds later pinpricks of light from the flaming torches and lanterns came into her sight and she bounded forward and with one swipe of her large paw knocked the humans at the back of the line off the cliff. The humans whirled around at hearing the cries of the men, raising their rifles and swords. Before they could shoot she leapt into the dark trees, their terrified shouts filled the air, trying to figure out where she was. She raced down at them again, her thudding paws on the ground alerting them to her and bullets whistled past her head harmlessly but a couple got her in the legs and shoulder, ruby blood splattering her pure white fur crimson. She growled furiously through her bared teeth, her fur starting to shine and exploded out of the cliff; glowing a brilliant white that blinded the humans and she knocked a couple more off the cliff. But she misjudged her footing and fell down the cliff face and without panicking the winged wolf flared her wings open and whirled around, flying back up the cliff, getting showered with bullets as she flew past the humans, knocking them down to the ground with the wind from her mighty wings. She soared over the trees and fluttered down to a silver moon lit lake and laid on its bank, resting her head on her paws.
Hopefully they’ll be smart enough not to return.
She closed her deep purple eyes wearily; pain blazing through her body and slowly fell into the realms of sleep.
But what she wasn’t aware of is that there was another god in her forest…
