The Clash of the Immortals

"Hello Ethalyn, hi kids" Zaida showed her face and then disappeared , the light circling them all and then she turned the wolves into the light she was and then she was air.
The four of them, invisible to a naked eye of even a god, and she hovered a few metres above the dark god, Zaida thought to the wolves "we can get'him... he's close... we can't let him get away.."

"Foolish Godssss....." Zant hissed as he sped off.

The 'air' followed close behind and, silent, like the breeze in the tree's, they followed close behind.

Zant stopped and sniffed the air. He smelled something....

The pups yipped quietly in excitement and Ethalyn tensed herself.

Zant heard the yipping and immediatly vanished.

"Well..." Ethalyn said. "What do we do now?"

One of the Wolf goddesses pups was suddenly bashed in the back of the head by an unseen force.

Ethalyn whirled around hearing her pup yelp.
"Faith!" She yelled, growling.

A hissing laugh echoed throughout the forest.

Vaughn's maroon eyes turned crimson as the wave swept over her. Something was amiss. She growled low in her chest, a curious growl. Without further hesitation, she crouched, then sprang into the air. Her batlike demon wings cracked open like sails and she left her clifftop behind, soaring out over the moonlit forest hundreds of feet below. She angled in the direction of the crystal's location, where her dark heart tugged her, blending into the night sky.

Zant was tugged toward the crystal again and without word he sprang away from the light gods and headed back to the crystal.

Vaughn flashed across the sky, low over the treetops, streamlining her wings for speed. A flock of roosting birds woke and huddled in terror as her shadow flickered over them, grateful that she ignored them. When she reached her destination, she swooped down and landed on her taloned paws, to find that the crystal had been destroyed. A shiver of wicked joy and anticipation went through her. Destroyed! Now she and the rest of the dark powers were free to become all that they deserved to be, she thought, licking her paw with a satisfied smile.

A presence approached, one that didn't disgust her like the presence of a light god. A movement caught her eye shortly after. She blinked. It was a large frilled lizard, a dark immortal like herself.

Zant approached Vaughn with caution. "Looksss like I didn't 'ave to tell anyone after all." He hissed smugly.

She sat still and calm, greeting Zant with an amused purr.
"Oh, but there are others," she said quietly. "They, too, might sense it and come here to see for themselves. Or some might not... shall we wait for others to come, or make certain the word is spread?" Her whiskers twitched in anticipation of bloodshed. The concept of massing an army caused a smirk to start growing on her face.

"Per'apssss.... We should be careful though. The Light Godsss wil want our 'eadsss for thissss." His frill twitched.

She chuckled. "Yes," she said happily. "But they will only get our teeth. And they won't be expecting... so many of us. At once. We could pick them off one by one, as easily as if we were catching fish out of a pond." She licked her jaws, which still had a trace of blood on them from earlier's sport kill.

Zant nodded.

Vaughn settled down into a relaxed crouch. "I will wait a short time and if no one shows up, I will seek the others." She closed her eyes, making it clear she wasn't in the least bit intimidated or uncomfortable around the lizard.

Zant nodded again and admired the panther silently.

Grumor hung upside down by a thread of webbing, his red eyes shining through the shadows, he was at the site of the crystal watching the two dark gods, he slowly crawled out of the shadows, his eight legs exposing themselves, the red tips slightly glowing. "Ah, a pleasure to see that I didn't have to skitter everywhere to inform the other dark gods about the crystal, it seemed as if we all felt the tremor. More importantly, the light gods should have felt it too, have you seen any around per chance?" Grumor turned his head, his many eyes searching the trees for any movement.

Zaida grabbed Faith and held her closely in her arms and then, she sent the three pups back to their home, with their Uncle and Family friend.
She turned to Ethalyn and telepathically muttered "we're going to need more reinforcements..." Zaida smiled and watched as her two minor demons appeared into only the sights of Ethalyn and herself. "i wonder..."
two blinding lights surrounded the crystal's remaining splinters, and danced around the dark gods, teasing and taunting and sneers flying in and out of their ears, they were chanting and the lights began swimming in and out of the eyes of the demonic gods and Zaida and Ethalyn swirled above the crystal.
"The high Deity will not approve... but what else can we do?..." She and Ethalyn, the lights all furiously spun around the crystal...
and it was gone, along with those who liberated it.
Zaida and Ethalyn, Danica and Shianne, the two minor demons, all rested in front of the high Deity....
"our apologies are sincere... " Zaida bowed and folded her wings.

The lights blinded all of Grumor's eyes, he let out a vile screech and dashed forwards, running passed the orbs and into the dark forest.

"Curse the light gods, Our time has come!!! Your precious crystal is shattered and our full power shall be unleashed!!!"

Zaida unfurled her wings and clapped them together, and through droplets of water and light, and sparkling mist appeared, what was left of the crystal wrapped in vines before the Deity.

"it was surrounded by 3 gods of darkness..."
She looked up and found Ethalyn's pups all in a recovery chamber of amethyst and herbs and Zaida bowed again.

Zant looked around confused. "First the crystal was there and now it isn't. Then Grumor took off babbling nonsensively. "Ssstrange....." He hissed.
