A haunted and lost world

Ben climbed up to Mel's ear. "Wanna hear a neat fact?" He asked. "It'll help."

Ho'ne: Hey! We're back *Carrying a big bundle of logs* Jericho got us a hog *placing the wood in place* We will be eating heavenly tonight.
Jericho: Hey why don't you stop yammering and help me with this thing!! *Jericho pulling a hog bigger then himself*
Ho'ne: You know the rules you kill it you drag it.
Jericho: Well this sucks.

"I'm listening..." Melanie rumbled.

"That thing isn't as good a fighter as it seems. You bash it a few times and it should shut down. But you have to do it on his level."

Melanie started to decend.

The sand stood still without movement.

"Wait." Lauraniana said. "I'll go down first."
Before anyone could object she dived down toward the sand.

Metaniss sprang from the sand and pounced for Laura.

Then Melanie struck. She folded in her wings and dived to and latched onto its head, striking at it with her paws.

It screeched furiosly and bit her wrist tearting it open.

She yowled, a fire sword forming in her paw and she heavily brought it down upon its head.

The head split open and lifless husk fell to the ground.

Melanie drifted down to the ground, holding her paw up. "That was easy..."

The desert was Silent while she spoke her mind.

"Is everyone alright?" Jade asked.

"For the most part..." Ben said.

Melanie absent mindly toyed with the husk of the mechanical centipede.

Sparks flew out but nothing else.

"So, what now?" Melanie asked.

"We go in Reaver's castle, what else?" Ben said.

"Any plans on how to do that?"

"Break down the door?" Ben suggested shrugging.

Melanie sighed. "Anything else?"

"Maybe Laura would know. After all her and Elex left the place."

"I smashed out." Laura muttered.
"Mel." Elex said, "Theres a door on the north side that is hardly ever used, it leads into the basement deep underground. We can go through there then mount a full scale attack from inside."
