The war of the races

Dat ran to the opposite side of the building, and leaped off, landing in a pile of hay he saw earlier.

Zaida rested against Melanie and she sighed, looking ahead at the what seemed never ending tunnel and turned to Scott's sleeping water form and gently she ran her finger against his back.

"We'll be safe down here." Todd said as he walked. "I can scout ahead if you need me to."

Dat heard footsteps near the hay stack, then it slowly got quieter. When he didn't hear anything he poked his head out, check it as clear and ran to the refuge hide out. Where all the refugee's hid.

(Dat.... we are the refugee's >< we're escaping?)

Zaida nodded at Todd and held close toMelanie.

Dat crept over the manhole, waiting for the noise to stop before going in.

Todd ran ahead and there was silence before he called out that it was clear.

Melanie picked Scott up and followed Todd

He led the group down a maze of sewer tunnels and eventually stopped at a wide tunnel. "We should rest here..." He said with a sudden nervousness in his voice.

Melanie looked at Todd with her sharp silver eyes noticing his nervousness. "Whats wrong?"

A gun shot was heard, and the body of Dat fell through the man hole, splashing everyone with blood.

Dat listened to the talking of the people in the sewer, when he heard footsteps behind him. He turned his head and saw a human. "What are YOU doing?" The human asked. Before Dat could answer he was blown in the back of the head with a shotgun.

He looked at the wide tunnel before them with fear evident in his eyes. "I-it's in there..."

"What is Todd? Something for me to deal with?"

"A mutant Antro the Humans created in their experiments..."

Melanies form shifted to a giant raptor. "Time for it to be put down." She then walked down the tunnel.

As Meleanie enterd the tunnel she immediatly noticed that it was flooded.

"Fine if its gonna be live that..." She growled and she jumped into the water shifting into a leopard seal and swam through the water.

Suddenly a giant mechanical tentacle wrapped around her waste and immediatly began to constrict.

Melanie squirmed furiously, trying to reach the surface of the water for air.

The tentacle flung her out of the water into a nearby wall.

She fell unconsius.

The limb emerged and reached for her slowly.

Jake and 3 other refugee's hurried down the tunnel, trying to escape the city when they saw a tentacle looking thing reaching towards a woman on the ground.
They quickly opened fire on the tentacle.
"Man! Get down!!"
He yelled to the other life form in the tunnel.

Scott slowly felt himself coming to. He opened his eyes, quickly realizing that Zaida had shifted him to water again. He tried to restore his body, like he had before, but something was wrong. It felt as if... He shivered. His body was dead. He managed to form himself into a liquidic wolf form and dashed forward to help Melanie. He pushed some of his healing power towards her, healing the wounds the creature had caused. His liquid fur bristled, and he lept at the creature.

Dat saw ANOTHER figure.
"HEY! GET DOWN!!!"
He yelled to the third figure
