A haunted and lost world

Laura lashed out again, this time with her wing and knocked Reaver into a wall.

Reaver smashed into the wall and fell. He got to his good knee and was forced, yet again, to stay in that pose.

Laura slithered up to him, hissing and lunged again...

Elex had finally reached where the group was and skidded to a stop as a shadow wolf appeared out of the darkness and grabbed him and dragged him out into the clearing and threw him into the middle.

Reaver finally couldn't take anymore and raised his hands in surrender. "Alright you win..."

Ben looked at Elex and pointed without saying a word.

Laura curled around Reaver and begun to squeeze. "Leave the girl alone!"

Nyy growled turning around and flew down to Elex.
"Who are you?!" She hissed as she landed.
"I'm here to help...I know Alice..."

"That's not my decision to make..." Reaver said gasping.

Ben only watched with interest.

"Sacrifice the clone!" Laura hissed in his ear.

"Who are you?" Nyy asked calmer now.
"Name's Elex. I'm a prisinor of Reaver's and he sent me to kill you but I shall not. I will assist you for Alice."

"Are you mad!? You can't fool them! Forget it, I'm using the real one!"

Laura growled and ripped a piece of his shoulder armour off. "Then use someone else!"

"They want her and her brother...They won't take anything else...period and you're an idiot to try an stop me. Some God you are. You're no God at all..."

Laura slumped in defeat, she knew that she could not defend Alice no matter how much she wanted too.

"See? I told you..." Reaver walked over to Alice who looked at Laura with pleading eyes. Before Reaver could touch her she ran over and clung to Laura. "Please! Please don't let him take me! If you could save Caleese wouldn't you take it? Wouldn't she want you to keep me safe. Please don't give up!" She screamed as Reaver hoisted her into the air and started to drag her outside the cell. Alice sobbed and screamed until Reaver stopped to slam her head into the metal bars rendering her unconscious.

Laura lost it then. The colours of the rainbow flashed across her body and legs sprouted and spikes ripped out of her wings, she began to pulse with a white light and the walls of the cell started to crack. She opened her jaws and out came an earth shuddering roar and fire rushed out. Then an invisible wave swept from her and the walls shattered and she pounced onto Reaver, the light from her skin burning him.

Reaver screamed at the burning and dropped Alice's unconscious frame.

A shining white ball appeared over her paw and it circled around Reaver as Laura jumped off him, grabbed Alice in her other taloned paw and flew back into her cell and through the open hole that led to the outside.

Reaver stared in disbelief at what happened but fainted on the spot from the pain.

Laura flew high over the Ashen desert, enjoying the freedom once again.

Alice stirred in her paw and moaned.

Antonidas was riding a large lizard creature in the desert, nearing reavers castle when suddenly a bellowing roar was heard from inside, he turned his head at the castle and a large dragon-like creature burst from the wall, most likely a prisoner of reaver's. Antonidas charged his lizard into a sprint, once it got close enough to the dragon Antonidas unleashed a crackling, purple, lightning bolt from below, it seard the air as it crackled passed. Only then did he see that the dragon was also carrying a young manticore. "Reaver has some interesting prisoners..." Antonidas continued his assault, wanting to bring these creatures back to reaver.

Laura held Alice close to her as they were attacked and cloaked herself in a white mist that blended into the clouds above.

Reaver slowly stood up and shook his head at the mess. He was then guided to his throne.

Laura continued to fly and soon reached the safety of the mountains.

Alice opened her eyes and almost screamed at the height.

The dragon serpent lifted the manticore up and placed her on her neck. "It's alright Alice."

"W-Where are we going?" She asked holding on.
